About copperrosearts.com and Elias Marshall, Metal Artist

I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona. I have always had a creative streak, from drawing and painting as a kid, learning several musical instruments as a teen, and various pursuits as an adult. I moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 1999, and continue to make it my home. In 2000, a jewelry & silversmithing course sparked my interest in working with metal, but it wasn’t unitl 2015 that I began learning to weld. I intended to make outdoor sculptures and decorative achitecture, but ended up going in a different direction. I use heat and chemical reactions to color various metals. I cut and layer them to create landscapes, and grind to greate texture and contrast. While there are many great metal artists out there, I know of no other artist with my style of work. I look forward to growing and developing as an artist. Thank you for your interest in my work.
